Who operates TailNestly?

TailNestly is developed and operated by Caglar Ergul as an individual developer, not by a company. For privacy questions, contact caglarergul@me.com.

Information stored on your device

You can use TailNestly without creating an account. Pet profiles, care logs, weights, reminders, preferences, and pet profile photos are stored locally on your device. Pet profile photos are not included in account sync.

Account and optional sync

If you sign in with Apple and turn on sync in Settings, TailNestly sends your Apple account identifier and the pet profiles, care records, and weight measurements needed for sync to the TailNestly API and database hosted on infrastructure operated by the developer. Sync is optional; core local logging remains available without an account.

If you invite a caretaker, the service stores invitation and membership details, the caretaker’s display name, and shared-pet records so invited people can help with care. Access is limited to the pets selected for that invitation.

Care-entry photos

Photos attached to care entries are processed on your device: they are resized to a maximum dimension of 1,600 pixels, re-encoded as JPEG without the source image metadata, and limited to 2.5 MB. When account sync is enabled and your account has TailNestly Pro, care-entry photos may be uploaded to private object storage operated by the developer. Signed photo links expire after 10 minutes.

Deleting a care entry, pet, or account queues related server photos for deletion. Failed deletions are retried, so a photo can remain briefly while cleanup is pending. Pet profile photos remain on your device and are not uploaded through this photo service.

Subscriptions and Apple services

Apple processes App Store payments. TailNestly does not receive or store your payment card details. The app and server process transaction identifiers and subscription status or expiry information to validate TailNestly Pro. Sign in with Apple is handled through Apple’s authentication service.

How information is used and shared

Information is used to provide care tracking, reminders, sync, sharing, account export and deletion, and subscription features. It is not sold or used for advertising. The app source does not include an advertising or analytics SDK. Information is handled by Apple for sign-in and App Store transactions, and by the developer-operated TailNestly API, database, and private photo storage to provide the service.

Retention and deletion

You can export or delete an account from Settings. Account deletion removes the account, its owned server records, and active sessions; it also queues related photos for deletion. Records a caretaker added to someone else’s pet can remain with that pet, with the author account link removed. Database backups are kept on the same server in seven daily rotation slots, so deleted server records may remain in a backup for up to seven days before that copy is replaced. Photo deletion is retried until the storage service confirms it.

Deleting your server account does not remove local records already stored on your device. Manage those separately in the app.

Operational logs and security

The API records a request identifier, HTTP method, response status, and processing time for service operation. It does not log care-entry contents or full request paths. For unknown API routes, it records a short-lived, process-salted path fingerprint rather than the path itself. The TailNestly API, database, and photo-storage container logs are configured to rotate at 10 MB, keeping at most three files per service. The public support and privacy pages do not use advertising, analytics, or tracking scripts.

Veterinary information

TailNestly is a tracking and reminder tool. It does not provide veterinary advice or diagnosis. Medication names, amounts, and schedules are entered by the user. Consult a veterinarian for health decisions.
